Free Verse, ice crystals, snow, State of Whimsy

_Fresh_Snowfall_

I saw the light
beneath my feet
stars
captives
frozen in time
infinity
a shimmer
scross a field
of cold
prismatic
crystals.

A Sound

apocalypse, apocalyptic sound, bones of the city, city made a sound, Free Verse, horn, skeleton of the city, tunnels, wind

The wind blew
through the skeleton beneath the city
the tunnels
and passages
forgotten over time.

It blew
through the ageless remnants
of former glory
that wasted away
unbeknownst to all.

It blew
’round curves and corners
past arches and doorways
causing shifting
deep in the bowels
of civilization.

The city shifted
and settled
not quite
where it had been before
and steel tresses
felt the pressures
and the city
made a Sound.

Sometimes, it doesn’t matter if you hold your head up high, or look at the ground. You can still see beauty if you look.

bullying

when you feel
you are just an extra body
and everbody else
makes you feel
that they are better than you
at anything
or everything
then you start to feel
like you are not a somebody
to anybody
and if someone does not see it
and reach out their hand
it starts to hurt you
somewhere inside
again and again
until you feel
like you are nobody

cat, Free Verse

Soft it came
out of the night
filling spaces between the silences
being.

Stealthed stillness
waiting
patient
seeing
stalking
shifting
